Seymour runs right along the Seymour River. Like many of its surrounding neighbourhoods, the area along the water is used for industrial purposes residential areas can be found further up. Much of the residential area further north is surrounded by trees and forested parks. This creates a very peaceful and quiet atmosphere in the neighbourhood. Seymour is ideal for families.
Neighbourhood amenities
Seymour is located near the base of Mount Seymour and is surrounded by many large nature reserves. This means there are an abundance of trails easily accessible from this neighbourhood with many trails starting right at the end of its streets! Residents living in this area are never far away from outdoor recreational activities. During the winter months, Mount Seymour is a popular destination for snowboarders, skiers and snowshoers.
Seymour is home to a 5-acre urban farm that features a petting zoo, rides on farm animals and picnic areas just to name a few. Maplewood Farm is unique to this neighbourhood and is great place to spend the day with your children.
There is a small urban centre in Seymour on the corner of Old Dollarton Rd and Seymour River Pl. This commercial area features a couple of small neighbourhood stores, a restaurant and a cafe.

Transit
Drivers will find that getting around the lower mainland will be easy–Seymour is right off of Highway 1. Public transportation users will find that the buses run on the main roads and that there is limited service in the smaller roads.

Houses and townhouses for sale have made up the majority of the sales in Seymour in the last five years. Condos sales have paled in comparison and are limited with respect to house sales.
