Mount Pleasant is a small and eclectic neighbourhood located on the east side of Cambie street stretching from W 5th to W 16th Ave and extending east until Ontario St. This neighbourhood is home to families young and old, young professionals and artists and musicians. Mount Pleasant is an up and coming neighbourhood with great city initiatives such as changing low traffic streets into green spaces for residents and many public art projects. Home to Vancouver City Hall, it is a vibrant and close knit community, close to Downtown Vancouver that offers great urban living for all its residents.
Neighbourhood Amenities
Mount Pleasant Shopping District is located minutes away from the neighbourhood on the corner of Main, Broadway and Kingsway. It features tons of great neighbourhood shops, clothing stores, restaurants, cafes and professional services. Mount Pleasant Business Improvements Association helps build and foster the overwhelming sense of community the neighbourhood has become known for. They hold Halloween Costume Contests, events and festivals that promote local businesses. In addition, along W Broadway is a collection of outdoor stores such as MEC, Sport Check and Eco Outdoor Sports.
Mount Pleasant has a strong commercial district located in northeast corner of the neighbourhood. This commercial district is home to Hootsuite (one of Vancouver’s first and biggest tech startup companies) and a wealth of craft breweries, including one of the city’s first, R&B Brewing.
Jonathan Roger’s Park is Mount Pleasant’s largest park and features a big open field that is great for playing pick up sports such as football, soccer, ultimate frisbee or softball. It also boasts a small community garden as well. Just minutes north of the Park is Olympic Village and access to its seawall along the waterfront with great restaurants and bars.

Transit
Mount Pleasant is a very walkable, bike and transit driven community. It is serviced by the Canada Line which rides along Cambie St and gives transit users easy access to Downtown Vancouver, Richmond and the airport. In addition, there are well serviced bus routes along W Broadway, Cambie and W 16th Ave.
